Terms and Conditions

Course Cancellation

£670 (earlybird) / £760 (regular) of your full payment will be the deposit required to confirm your course place and is non-refundable at anytime.

We are unable to offer you a refund for cancellations less than 12 weeks prior to the start of the course, or if you need to leave the course for any reason once the course has started, or if you fail the course for any reason, and in these circumstances you are contractually obliged for any outstanding fees.

You can defer to another course intake. To confirm your place on the course you are deferring to (the ‘new course’), we charge a deferment fee of £760, payable at least 12 weeks prior to the start of the new course. Any outstanding course fees would then be payable during the new course. If for any reason the deferment fee is not paid, then you are cancelling your course place, and the above cancellation policy will apply.

In the difficult circumstances of you sustaining a serious injury or prolonged ill health with a non pre-existing condition, Yogasara Training will support you and work out the best way for you to continue the course. You may still attend sessions and either adjust poses or just observe the classes. If you are unable to continue the training after consultation with a fully qualified medical practitioner we will defer the remaining modules to another course intake, but cannot offer a full or partial refund. In this circumstance we will not charge a deferment fee.

Please note, Yogasara Training only offer advanced teacher trainings once every few years.

Changes to Course Delivery

In exceptional circumstances where access to the studio is restricted, due to circumstances such as extreme weather, act of God, or pandemic; Yogasara Training will aim to continue the course. Any affected training modules or courses will be delivered in an online format, and the structure and type of content delivered may be adapted if necessary for this format. Refunds will not be available in these circumstances.

Payment Requirements

After payment of the deposit, payment of the remaining course fees will be monthly by direct debit. Yogasara will send invoices each month and payment will be taken from your bank account automatically. A request will be sent out prior to the course to complete a direct debit mandate for this purpose.

Payment of the full course fees is required before a teaching certificate can be issued.

Missed Modules on the Course

To meet Yoga Alliance Professionals criteria for minimum hours on teacher trainings, if you miss more than one weekend (or equivalent) of contact hours, these module(s) will need to be re-arranged and completed on one of our future teacher training courses. If you need to repeat a weekend the cost is £200 per weekend (£100 per day).

Late Assessments

We offer the opportunity for one teaching assessment during the course. If you require a second assessment, by having a Yogasara teacher attend your public or private yoga class, this will incur an additional assessment fee of £150 + travel expenses if required.

Course Completion Requirements

To pass this course and receive your certificate you need to:

  • Submit a learning in practice proposal, commit to practices in each of the 5 domains (body/physical; intellectual; interpersonal + emotional; spiritual; creative) and submit a reflective essay to reflect on how this process has affected your journey.
  • Pass the teaching assessment. This is a 25 minute yoga session taught off the mat, giving only verbal and hands on teaching.
  • Submit a workshop plan for a 2-3 hour workshop with the theme of your choice.
  • Demonstrate commitment and effort to upholding the Yogasara Student Agreement

In the spirit of generosity, we will, in extenuating circumstances, extend the completion process up to a maximum of one year after the final weekend of the course. That is, all course requirements must be completed by February 2027 at the latest; after this date we cannot pass you for any reason.

If you are referred in relation to any of the above course requirements, we will support you to take the necessary steps to complete the course by giving you learning outcomes and a clear trajectory.

In exceptional and rare circumstances, we reserve the right to fail you. This would only be due to serious concerns relating to your conduct, your capacity to hold a safe container for students, and/or your ability to meet the practical course requirements.

Pre-Reading Literature

You will receive a pre-reading list prior to the start of the course, books must be purchased by the students and isn’t included in the course cost.
