A traditional way to end the week, this is a led class of the Primary Series Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga. Some experience is required as we will be working through most of the Primary Series at a moderate pace. If you are unsure as to whether this class will suit you, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Ashtanga Vinyasa is a dynamic and challenging form of Hatha Yoga in which movements are linked with breath in a precise, ‘counted’, sequence. Through the focus on the rhythm of the breath combined with specific yoga asanas (postures), the body is strengthened & purified & the mind becomes calm. An intense & heating practise, Ashtanga brings balance & peace throughout all areas of your life. Some modifications will be given, and all who are keen are welcome, though if you have injuries please contact me in advance. Ashtanga Vinyasa is traditionally taught ‘Mysore Style’ during the other days of the week, but on a Friday a led class of the full Primary Series is offered. It is in keeping with this tradition that I offer this class.
