Psychodynamic counselling and psychotherapy offers a space in which to express difficult thoughts and feelings through talking freely about families, fantasies, ideas, dreams and any other material that you bring. The way that I work allows space for speaking freely and examining the layers of meaning that emerge from this practice of free speech. In this approach there is an emphasis on listening to people rather than offering standard advice or instructions. Some talking therapies focus on alleviating symptoms as quickly as possible however the psychodynamic approach invites people to think more deeply about the causes of their distress and develop their own way through.
