Mary is a mother, a midwife and a teacher. She has over 6 years experience working in maternity care, supporting families on their journeys through pregnancy and into parenthood.
As a practising NHS community midwife registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council, she has a wealth of experience in varying roles in antenatal, labour and postnatal care. Furthermore, she has developed and run antenatal education programs and hypnobirthing classes which she teaches both privately and within NHS settings.
More recently, she has been able to combine her midwifery work with her passion for yoga. She has been drawn to yoga for many years, always finding herself called to the interplay of the mind and body dynamic. Mary has trained in pregnancy and postnatal yoga, adapting traditional yogic practices to support women safely and effectively. This offers a holistic approach to a woman’s perinatal experience and promotes the inclusion of ritual, ceremony and intuition as part of the celebration of motherhood!
