About Me

I am a qualified psychotherapeutic counsellor practising in Bristol and Stroud. I am experienced in working with clients who bring a range of material including: anxiety and depression, relationship challenges, family matters, addictions, loss and grief, trauma, childhood struggles, low self-esteem and those grappling with a desire for change and direction in their lives.

I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP) and have undertaken 5 years of training at the Metanoia Institute in London, I have clinical experience working in community settings, in the mental health and statutory sectors and in the NHS. I am an assessor and staff therapist at the Gloucestershire Counselling Service.

How I Work

My approach is to work with what you bring. As an integrative practitioner, I will apply my skills and theoretical understanding in relational psychoanalysis, alongside contextual, transpersonal and humanistic influences in working alongside you.

Initially, I offer phone and/or email contact and welcome any questions you have. If we decide to proceed, an initial session will be arranged, lasting 50 minutes and charged at £45. This will give us an opportunity to meet each other and reflect upon how therapy can be of help to you. We can decide to proceed to a weekly arrangement when a regular session day and time is set aside for you.

I work in an open-ended way, which means that I do not limit the number of sessions offered and we can review the therapy as we go along. I also offer shorter-term or time-limited work for a fixed number of sessions (usually between 6-12 sessions). I currently work with adults (18+) however, if you would like information on colleagues and organisations who offer therapy to those younger than 18 yrs please do get in touch.
