Christopher Gladwell
Yogas of Breath, Prana, and Mind
Having practised yoga, meditation and pranayama for over forty years on a daily basis – Chris keeps a beginners mind. Authorised to teach by two of India’s foremost yoga schools, Chris has been training yoga teachers since 1990. His teaching weaves strength, power, mobility, and embodied presence into a coherent whole, with breath at the heart of every movement. The result is a practice that is both deeply restorative and quietly empowering, leaving you more relaxed, resilient, and at ease than when you arrived.
With a background in yogic philosophy and psychology as well as structural integration, functional anatomy, psychotherapeutic modalities, Ayurveda, traditional Chinese medicine, shamanic medicine practices, and evolutionary biology, Christopher also brings a rare level of clarity, insight, depth, and safety to the practice. He has taught internationally for decades, leading workshops and retreats around the world, and offers a depth of experience that supports practitioners of all levels in developing sustainable, intelligent, and life-enhancing yogic practice.
