Trauma Therapy. Craniosacral Therapy.
Trauma lives on in our body. long after the original overwhelming experience. Our nervous system believes we are still under threat, we continue to experience a fight or flight response and struggle to feel safe. When our nervous system is in an agitated or collapsed state due to unprocessed trauma we live with ongoing debilitating symptoms.
I offer an integrated mind – body approach to working with trauma, that is informed by my trainings in Trauma Therapy, Somatic Experiencing Techniques, Mindfulness, Psychodynamic counselling skills and Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy.
I have witnessed my clients miraculously transform and heal when using this approach, the ripple effect being the release and even disappearance of long-standing and painful symptoms and conditions such as fibromyalgia, self harm, insomnia, PTSD, dissociation, fertility issues, eating disorders, anxiety, depression, general aches and pains, back pain, migraines, ante-natal, pregnancy and post-natal conditions and much more.
Craniosacral Therapy
Craniosacral Therapy is a subtle yet powerful therapy which assists and works with the body’s own natural capacity to heal.
As a therapist, I hold a space of deep presence and I listen, With very subtle touch (over clothes), I come into relationship with parts of the nervous system.
The beauty of this approach is that the therapist doesn’t ‘do’, but just by being interested and coming into relationship to what simply ‘is’, there is space for integration and connection to the clients’ innate internal center of resource and vitality. This is enough to encourage healing.
Because Craniosacral Therapy is very gentle and non-invasive, it is especially useful for babies, pregnant woman, the elderly and those in acute and chronic pain.
I also offer a specialist Antenatal and Birth Support Service to women and families impacted by trauma. I have indepth knowledge and experience in working with woman during pregnancy, birth and early parenthood. I now share this knowledge through training Health Professionals and Antenatal practitioners in trauma awareness, birth trauma & trauma informed care.
Through my own personal healing journey and through working alongside clients as they find healing and integration I have become passionate about spreading awareness of our capacity to be well. This has led to me speaking internationally and facilitating workshops and retreats, empowering individuals and groups to explore what it feels like to be ‘enough’ and accept the whole spectrum of all that they are.
