We will begin to work through adjustments/enhancements for the postures from the Yogasara Foundation sequence in detail.
This course is very experiential- we will practice adjustments with an understanding of applied anatomy.
We will include the breath and clarify ways you can facilitate deeper breathing for students- breath is a powerful tool to ‘self adjust’ in postures.
We will teach you hands on adjustments for different body types, those with injury. We will teach you some basic structural bodywork techniques so that you can safely & skilfully enhance postures for your students.
We will teach you some ‘energetic’ adjustments using Reflex & Acupuncture points rooted in our training from Chinese Medicine – Chris (Shiatsu) Sarah (Reflexology).
We will explore and synergise how, why and when to teach verbally, through demonstration and/or hands to, empower individuals during a led class.
We will teach ‘triage’ and how to prioritise.
We will get you off your mat, into the room and help you find the confidence to assist your students with loving, intelligent & helpful adjustments, while maintaining healthy boundaries.
